“Wisconsin Dells”

I have known
The ageless contoured beauty of the Dells,
Where stardust falls
O’er fern draped walls,
Where strange enchantment dwells.

Where I roamed
The secret hidden paths of canyon aisles.
A paradise
Where strange rocks rise,
Where Mother Nature smiles.

Where I heard
Wind symphonies in lonely Pagen shrines,
Lost in sunset glow
Where ambered waters flow
‘Neath ledges wreathed in vines.

It was there,
Where multi-colored shadows crown the stream,
A place God set apart
That nature took my heart
And left a lasting dream.
