Within this building one will find
A choice of books of every kind,
Books that young children understand,
Books that describe our native land.

Here … we can read of pioneers,
Of other worlds … and other years;
Poetic gems … we love to quote,
Great classics that the masters wrote.

Here peaceful hours will be spent
As people search to their content
To find a certain book to read,
A book to serve a special need.

A book, to me, is like a friend,
And I can read for hours on end,
And I can shut the world out too,
Forgetting things I’d planned to do.

Turmoil, and hate, and endless strife,
These are some things we’ve known through life.
To find real peace we need to look
Among the pages of God’s book.
