Teach your boy to be a sportsman,
Take him with you day or night,
Show him where to catch the big ones,
Teach him how to land ’em right.
If you don’t . . . he’ll keep on asking
Till he nearly drives you mad,
If you do … then he’ll remember
His best buddy . . . was his Dad.
Take him through the fields and woodlands,
Help him build is boyhood dreams,
Teach the rules of conservation,
He will love the lakes and streams.
Show him where to find contentment
Far away from care and strife,
Teach our boy to be a sportsman,
He will thank you . . . all his life.
